Most people know DENS as the homeless charity for people in Dacorum. In fact, DENS do so much more than just provide a roof and a bed. Their aim is to be the first port of call for people in Dacorum who are facing homelessness, poverty and social exclusion; to support and empower them to take the next positive step in their lives.
DENS ensure individuals have access to temporary and short-term accommodation, and individuals and families have access to emergency food and provisions. They provide accommodation options to support people to move on and sustain their own tenancy as well as providing advice and training; empowering people to develop their skills and build confidence. DENS has been helping to rebuild lives since 2003.
DENS wanted to add additional security to the new shop for their social enterprise, The Bike Project, in Gadebridge, Hemel Hempstead, in the way of an Intruder Alarm system. When we heard about this amazing community initiative we decided to donate both the equipment and the installation of a new Pyronix Enforcer Alarm System with app control to the charity.
They were absolutely delighted by the donation, which has proven a big hit and means that the money that would have been spent on security can now be invested in training for DENS participants.

It also enables us to spend the money we would have spent on alarms towards mechanic training for the participants, to help them get back on their feet and working again.
